Get an exclusive sneak peek inside the final working dress rehearsal of our mainstage operas!

Opera Rehearsal 101 is open to middle & high school groups of 10 or more with teacher supervision. Rehearsals begin promptly at 7:00 pm at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. Latecomers will not be admitted to the theater so be sure to arrive early!

ADMISSION IS FREE! However, tickets are required and seating is limited.

Experience the magic of opera without leaving the classroom!

Palm Beach Opera’s Young Artists will sing arias and ensembles from favorite operas and discuss elements of opera with students. Palm Beach Opera will customize the repertoire for maximum relevance to curriculum.

Teachers are provided with resources to prepare students for the performance. 
Program Cost: $150
Title I schools are eligible to receive this program FREE of charge!

Teachers must contact Palm Beach Opera for scheduling no less than 15 days prior to desired presentation date.  Maximum of 75 students per presentation.

Requires a tuned piano

WHO IS ELIGIBLE? High school students age 16 or over who are enrolled in a theater or vocal program or who intend to pursue music, theater or technical theater in college or after graduation. Students should be willing to commit to up to 6 hours (including some evenings and weekends) per week.

WHAT IS THE PROGRAM ABOUT? Participants will have behind-the-scenes access to performances and rehearsals, interaction with artists and stage personnel, voice lessons with PBO artistic personnel and visiting artists (performance focus only), and hands-on technical production experience.

HOW DO I APPLY? Submit an application which includes a short essay, teacher recommendations, audition recording (performance focus), or resume of past experience and relevant work (tech focus).
