The entire Palm Beach Opera family was deeply saddened to learn of the death of dear friend and Chairman Emeritus, Bob Montgomery and extends its sympathy to his wife Mary and their daughter Courtnay. Mr. Montgomery was passionate in his support of the Opera. He served as Opera Board Chairman for 25 years before being honored as Chairman Emeritus in 2005. Mr. Montgomery dedicated himself to helping Palm Beach Opera attain prominence in the cultural community of Palm Beach County, both in terms of artistic quality and financial support. Our community has been immeasurably enriched through his dedication to and support of the arts and arts education.
